Blogger Breakfast @ LIV Organic & Natural Food Market
Yesterday I had the pleasure of starting my day off at the blogger breakfast event at LIV, in Liverpool. I can’t help popping into LIV to pick up some vegan goodies every time I go to town however had not tried their Eatery yet so was looking forward to sampling their selections. We had tasters of smashed avocado, scrambled tofu, mushrooms, peanut butter with banana and hummus - all spread generously on lovely soft light white batard. They were all delicious (I did not try th

The Old Duke - Marston’s Inn
The new pub is situated next to our local supermarket, and my boyfriend loves a bit of pub grub, so we decided to try The Old Duke as the venue for our next date night. The menu wasn’t huge and for a restaurant marketing itself as ‘pizza & grill’ I wasn’t really expecting a vegan main option and thought I’d be making up my own meal with selections of sides! However I was pleasantly surprised to see a vegan option in the starters, a couple in the mains and even two deserts! I

Woodlands Animal Sanctuary
Woodlands have taken or rehabilitated over 5000 animals in the 11 years they have been open. It costs £3000 per week to run the sanctuary and they save and look after animals as small as hedgehogs to as big as horses. Due to the cost they greatly rely on their network of voulenteers who help fundraise and look after the animals. Woodlands are the only shelter in Lancashire and Merseyside with a Hedgehog Unit and a Badger Rehabilitation Unit making them the only sanctuary in W

Afternoon tea at Westminster Tea Rooms
Imagine my surprise looking through the window at the olde worlde tea rooms and seeing the word ‘VEGAN’ scrawled proudly onto a blackboard. We were all hungry, but not wanting to eat too much as it was only early afternoon, and couldn’t decide upon where and what to eat until this little ray of sunshine saved the day 💡 In keeping with the traditional and elegant theme, the establishment only accepted cash or cheque, yet was up to date enough with the times/thoughtful enough

Chiquitos Brunch
I’ve eaten at Chiquito, more times than probably healthy, however have never been for Breakfast/Brunch so when the offer of a free brunch for two arose, and on the day I had a day off work, there was literally no stopping us. Firstly I ordered the cucumber, ginger, avocado and passion fruit smoothie which was full of flavour, spicy and very thick and creamy. Plus it was jam-packed with good fruits and veggies to start the day off right 💪🏽 There is not yet a traditional vega

Harvester
The unlimited-salad-bar bright lights of Harvester have been calling me for a while but tonight was my first visit. Unfortunately the heating was broken in our particular restaurant, so not many brave souls joined us for dinner and we were almost put off by the lack of custom. However I am glad we perceived! It did have a sort of school canteen/all inclusive holiday vibe with the bright lighting, buffet set-up and ‘clinical’ coldness but the crisp, yet fruity, £12 bottle of w

Christmas 2017
I hope everybody has had a great Christmas surrounded by fantastic food, friends and family 🌱🎄💚 Being my first Vegan Christmas I was expecting to just be eating vegetables and potatos throughout, however my brilliant mum went above and beyond as usual and there was more choice for me this year than ever I think! Christmas Eve Myself, my vegetarian mum and my meat eating sister were able to enjoy a medley of food together at a local bar. There was something for everybody so
